Bengaluru CEO seeks to fund Bittu Tabahi’s river clean-up work

Siddharth Dialani, a Bengaluru-based CEO, has offered to raise funds for the cleanliness drives led by Bittu Tabahi, whose work cleaning waste from the Ajnar River ghats in Madhya Pradesh has drawn attention online.

“I’m personally inspired by Bittu Tabahi,” Dialani wrote, asking for help to connect with the volunteer. He said he wanted to support some of Tabahi’s activities and bring in contributions from others to match the scale of the work.

Videos shared online show Tabahi clearing rubbish from polluted stretches around the river. The volunteer is reported to be Surendra Singh Choudhary.

The offer prompted other social-media users to discuss contributing small amounts and extending such clean-up work beyond Madhya Pradesh. Some suggested projects in other states, though no Bengaluru clean-up programme or funding arrangement has been announced.

For now, Dialani’s post is an offer to collaborate, with the next step depending on whether he is able to connect with Tabahi and set out a plan for support.
