Central Railway announces 418 festive special services from Mumbai
Bookings for the first set of Puja, Diwali and Chhath special trains open on September 27, with remaining services opening a day later.
Central Railway has announced 418 special train services for the festival travel period, including additional connections from Mumbai to Gorakhpur, Mau and Banaras. The largest set includes 64 services between CSMT and Gorakhpur from October 16 to November 18.
CSMT will get 64 special services to Gorakhpur between October 16 and November 18 as Central Railway adds 418 festival-season services across Mumbai and Maharashtra.
The services are planned for Puja, Diwali and Chhath travel, linking the region with Gorakhpur, Chennai, Bengaluru, Latur, Nagpur, Kolhapur, Mau, Banaras, Ghazipur and Thiruvananthapuram. Another 64 services will run between Hadapsar and Gorakhpur from October 16 to November 17.
For Mumbai passengers, the schedule includes CSMT services to Chennai, Bengaluru, Latur, Nagpur and Kolhapur, along with Lokmanya Tilak Terminus services to Mau and Banaras. The CSMT-Gorakhpur special will have four AC 3-tier coaches, 11 sleeper coaches, five general second-class coaches and brake vans.
Reservations for the first set of services open on September 27. The remaining services open for booking on September 28 through reservation centres and IRCTC. Unreserved tickets will be available through UTS and RailOne.
