Blocks A, B and C of Sector 58 and parts of Sector 60 are set to lose power from 9am to 6pm while a Sector 59 substation undergoes panel replacement.
PVVNL has scheduled two days of maintenance at the 33 kV substation in Sector 59. The work will replace 11 kV vacuum circuit-breaker panels, with the exact Sector 60 blocks affected depending on the feeders taken up each day.
Blocks A, B and C of Noida’s Sector 58 will face planned power cuts from 9am to 6pm on October 31 and November 1, during maintenance at a 33 kV substation in Sector 59.
Parts of Sector 60 will also be affected, though the precise blocks will depend on the feeders selected for work. Vivek Patel, executive engineer at PVVNL’s Electricity Urban Distribution Division in Noida, said the shutdown will cover Sector 58’s A, B and C blocks and some Sector 60 areas.
The contractor, Universal MEP Projects Engineering Services Limited, will replace existing 11 kV vacuum circuit-breaker panels. The work includes two incoming panels, a bus-coupler panel and three outgoing feeder panels.
These panels manage electricity entering the substation, link parts of its busbar system and send supply onwards through local feeders. Homes, offices and commercial establishments connected to the affected feeders may experience the disruption and should plan for the nine-hour shutdown.
