181 Bengaluru students feted under Pratibha Puraskar

A student with a perfect 625 out of 625 in the SSLC examination was among 181 Bengaluru students felicitated on Saturday under the Pratibha Puraskar programme.

Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda presented certificates, medals and mementoes at the Nammuru Hemme programme. The top five SSLC performers and the top three PU achievers were given tablets as additional recognition.

The Greater Bengaluru Authority organised the programme with the Bengaluru Urban District Zilla Panchayat. It was open to Bengaluru residents who had performed exceptionally in SSLC, PU and Central-syllabus examinations.

For eligibility, SSLC students needed 621 marks or more, PU students 596 marks or more, and students in Classes 10 and 12 under the Central syllabus 496 marks or more. Gowda told students that scores above 99% reflected sustained discipline and hard work, and said such talent should be celebrated.
