24 Delhi seats have fewer draft electors than people who voted in 2025

Tughlakabad’s draft electoral roll has 1,00,386 names — 14,575 fewer than the 1,14,961 people who voted in the constituency in the February 2025 Delhi Assembly election.

It is the largest such gap among 24 of Delhi’s 70 Assembly constituencies where the number of electors on the draft rolls is now lower than the constituency’s 2025 turnout. Together, those 24 seats had 49.1 lakh registered voters in 2025 and recorded 28.9 lakh votes. Their current draft rolls contain 27.7 lakh electors.

Delhi had 1.56 crore electors for the 2025 Assembly election, when 94.9 lakh people voted. The current revision has involved deletions before the Special Intensive Revision and further deletions during its draft stage. The pattern is particularly pronounced in east, central and south Delhi, including constituencies east of the Yamuna.

The draft rolls can still be revised. Residents who are eligible but missing from the list, including those deleted in error, can apply for inclusion.
