From a Kathak and Chhau programme at India Habitat Centre to Amit Tandon’s comedy sets in CyberHub, August 31 has a compact evening calendar across Delhi and Gurugram.

Seven events in Delhi and Gurugram on August 31 include free talks, Kathak and Chhau, a Krishna dance drama, comedy and a workshop.

A 6.30pm conversation on women, life and freedom at India International Centre is among the free August 31 plans in Delhi. Swara Bhaskar and Sujata Prasad are listed as speakers at the CD Deshmukh Auditorium, a short walk from Jor Bagh Metro station.

Also at IIC, Dr Shyam Sharan Gupta will speak on Buddhist monasteries in the rock-art sites of Central India at 6.30pm in Conference Room II. At India Habitat Centre, the Nritya Katha Festival will bring Kathak and Mayurbhanj Chhau performances to the Stein Auditorium from 7pm; entry is free.

For ticketed evenings, Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra’s *Krishna Dance Drama* is scheduled at Kamani Auditorium, Mandi House, at 6.30pm. *Badariya: Monsoon Farewell Festival* begins at Talkatora Indoor Stadium at 5pm.

In Gurugram, Breakin Brew Superlab in Sector 66 is hosting a vision-board workshop at 4pm and 5pm. Comedian Amit Tandon performs *Aise Kaise* at The Laugh Store, CyberHub, with sets at 6pm and 9pm. Tickets for the listed paid events are available through BookMyShow.
