AAP seeks meeting with Delhi Police chief over crime and drug-trade complaints

Kuldeep Kumar, the AAP’s Delhi vice-president, has sought a meeting with Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar over what he described as a deteriorating law-and-order situation in the capital and his assembly constituency.

Kumar said he wrote to the Commissioner along with an MLA delegation, citing alleged rising crime and complaints about illegal drug trade. He asked for an early appointment, saying the matter required urgent attention.

The AAP leader said complaints over the sale of narcotic substances had emerged from several parts of the constituency. He described the issue as a concern for young people and their families, and said local residents wanted effective action against drug trade and crime.

The letter seeks a meeting with the Police Commissioner; Kumar said the delegation hopes to receive a time for it soon.
