Mumbai Ganesh pandals can get temporary power within 48 hours

Ganesh pandal organisers in Mumbai can apply for a temporary electricity connection at a residential rate. Adani Electricity says it will provide supply within 48 hours of an application.

Applications can be made through the company’s New Connection section. Adani Electricity said it supplied uninterrupted power to more than 1,000 pandals during last year’s festival and has deployed Quick Response Teams to address issues during the celebrations.

For immersion days, the company said it will provide 2,958 floodlights at more than 167 idol immersion locations.

Organisers have been asked to use licensed electrical contractors, keep meter cabins and switches accessible, and ensure the connected load remains within the sanctioned limit. The company’s safety guidance calls for standard wires, switches, MCBs and ELCBs, proper earthing, three-pin plugs for extension cords, and a fire extinguisher near the meter cabin. It advises against unauthorised extensions, direct power supply and unnecessary joints in wiring.
