Air India-Drukair tie-up adds single-ticket Bhutan connections via Delhi

A traveller flying through Delhi to Bhutan will be able to book the Air India and Drukair legs of the journey on a single itinerary.

Air India and Drukair-Royal Bhutan Airlines have announced an interline partnership that will let passengers from Air India’s international network connect to Paro through Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The airlines said baggage and passenger transfers will be coordinated through to the final destination.

For travellers using Delhi, the arrangement creates an integrated booking option for Paro, Bhutan’s only international airport. Drukair also operates domestic services from Paro to Bumthang, Gelephu and Yonphula.

Drukair passengers will also be able to connect through Delhi, Guwahati and Kolkata to Air India’s domestic and international network. Air India said the arrangement will offer interline fares and more booking flexibility.
