Ajay Chaudhary appointed Delhi traffic chief in 43-officer reshuffle
IPS officer Ajay Chaudhary has been appointed Special Commissioner of Police, Traffic, as Delhi Police reorganised senior postings across several units.
Delhi Police appointed Ajay Chaudhary as Special CP, Traffic, in a reshuffle of 43 senior officers across traffic, crime, intelligence and district units.
Ajay Chaudhary, a 1996-batch IPS officer, is Delhi’s new traffic chief after a reshuffle of 43 senior Delhi Police officers.
Chaudhary replaces Manish Agrawal, who has been posted as Special CP of the Protective Security Division. The changes cover traffic, crime, special branch, vigilance, intelligence, operations and district policing.
Pratiksha Godara has been posted as Additional CP, Traffic Headquarters, while Sachin Singhal and Shweta Chauhan have been assigned as DCPs in the traffic unit. Monica Bharadwaj moves to crime, Varsha Sharma to the Economic Offences Wing and Jitendra Kumar Meena to vigilance.
Niharika Bhatt has been elevated as DCP North District, and Vineet Kumar will head South East District. Hemant Tewari has moved to special branch, while Gaurav Tyagi will serve with the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations unit.
