Amrit Udyan opens in Delhi on August 16 with Babbling Brook

Amrit Udyan reopens to the public on Sunday, August 16, bringing its Summer Annuals display back to the Rashtrapati Bhavan estate until September 15.

A new feature, the Babbling Brook, is a winding water feature with sculptural spouts, stepping stones and a reflecting pool. Visitors can also access Bal Vatika, a children’s area with a treehouse and nature classroom, along with exhibitions and a food court. The 15-acre garden complex includes the East and Central Lawns, Long Garden and Circular Garden, as well as the Herbal, Tactile and Bonsai gardens and Arogya Vanam.

Entry is free, but visitors must carry a digital visitor pass and government ID. The entry point is Gate 35 near North Avenue; Central Secretariat is the nearest Metro station, with a shuttle service available from there. Visiting hours are 10am to 6pm, with entry closing at 5pm. The gardens will be closed on Mondays.

August 29 is reserved for sportspersons for National Sports Day, while September 5 will be set aside for teachers. Cameras, backpacks, food and tobacco products are not permitted, though mobile phones, umbrellas, handbags and water bottles are allowed.
