Anju Kumar’s Moksha exhibition at Studio Anmol, Gurugram

The Gurugram artist’s new collection is on view at Studio Anmol in South City 1 until 7pm on October 17.

Gurugram artist Anju Kumar’s free Moksha exhibition at Studio Anmol, South City 1, features paintings, sculptures and mixed-media works until 7pm on October 17.

A woman poised above a globe, her arms swept back as though ready for flight, is the centrepiece of Anju Kumar’s sculpture *Freedom* at Studio Anmol in Gurugram.

Kumar’s exhibition, *Moksha*, brings together paintings, sculptures, murals and mixed-media works shaped around ideas of freedom, surrender and inward expression. The self-taught artist, who has worked across clay, glass, painting and sculpture for more than 35 years, also includes Ganesha and Buddha idols, nature-inspired vases and functional pieces.

One work, *Divinity*, places Lord Ganesha at the centre of a mandala encircled by Ram naam. In *Sacred Circles*, Kumar has made a mandala on a wooden plate and mounted it on a wrought-iron stand as a coffee table.

“Art creates a lot of positive vibration in the space where you’re living,” Kumar says.

*Moksha* is open with free entry at Studio Anmol, C-55A, South City 1, until 7pm on October 17. Millennium City Centre on the Yellow Line is the nearest Metro station.
