Delhi Traffic Police expects evening congestion around Durga Puja pandals in Chittaranjan Park and Greater Kailash-II through October 20.

Traffic restrictions will operate daily from 4pm to midnight in and around CR Park and Greater Kailash-II from October 16 to 20. Police have asked pandal visitors to take the Metro and motorists to avoid several south Delhi corridors where congestion is expected.

Durga Puja visitors heading to CR Park and Greater Kailash-II will face traffic restrictions each evening from October 16 to 20, with controls in place from 4pm until midnight.

Delhi Traffic Police expects heavy footfall at pandals located within residential colonies, where roads are narrow and visitor parking is unavailable. Congestion is anticipated on the Outer Ring Road between Vasant Vihar and Modi Mill Flyover; Lala Lajpat Rai Marg near CR Park; August Kranti Marg; and Mehrauli-Badarpur Road between Khanpur and Jamia Hamdard.

Other likely pressure points include Guru Ravidas Marg, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Josip Broz Tito Marg, and internal roads around CR Park and GK-II.

Police have advised visitors to use the Delhi Metro, alighting at Greater Kailash or Nehru Enclave stations and walking to the pandals. Motorists should leave early, allow extra time and avoid taking private vehicles into CR Park. The advisory also asks drivers not to park on roads or footpaths near pandals, or stop taxis and autorickshaws on main carriageways for drop-offs.
