Indiranagar: festival prasadam tasting at Atta Galatta on September 6

A small room at Atta Galatta in Indiranagar will host stories of festival prasadams alongside a tasting on September 6.

Divine Delicacies, led by performance storyteller and educator Aparna Jaishankar, will explore foods offered to deities in temples, during festivals and at region-specific shrines. The two-hour session begins at 12.30 pm and will move between the origins of each dish and a tasting of the preparations.

Jaishankar has presented food-centred performances under the Divine Delicacies banner for more than two years. This edition, scheduled ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi, will include familiar festival dishes as well as lesser-known prasadams.

Lakshmi and Subodh Shankar, co-founders of Atta Galatta, will prepare the food in their personal kitchen rather than source it commercially. The venue can seat 15-18 people, and tickets start at ₹500.
