Delhi: PM Modi addresses SRCC centenary, criticises Opposition

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed Shri Ram College of Commerce’s centenary celebrations in Delhi, asking students to consider their role in building a developed India.

Speaking to students, Modi focused on Gen-Z and asked them to look back at periods of crisis and the responses to them. He cited the 2013 Kedarnath disaster, the 2008 global financial meltdown, the Covid-19 pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine war, disruptions to trade and supply chains, and the West Asia crisis.

Modi also repeated his use of the term “dimagi Naxal” while criticising Opposition leaders. Comparing the phrase to a homeopathic pill, he said: “As soon as I gave the ‘dimagi Naxal’ homeopathic pill, all the ‘dimagi Naxals’ started coming out one after another.”

Modi had previously spoken at SRCC in 2013, when he was Gujarat’s chief minister.
