Sunder Nursery’s frangipani blooms cover trails and lawns

White frangipani blooms are scattered beneath the trees along Sunder Nursery’s parallel trails facing Sunder Burj. Park staff leave many of the fallen flowers on the grass for most of the day, where they gather beneath the trees.

Frangipanis flower through the year in Delhi, and their blooms are especially visible during the rains. The trees also line the outdoor paths and plaza garden at Saket’s Select Citywalk, where they are currently covered in white flowers.

For a woman selling frangipani gajras at the Barakhamba traffic light, the flower is part of an evening’s work. When the signal turns red, she moves from car window to car window, returning to the road divider with unsold loops as traffic begins moving again.

Elsewhere in the city, white frangipani-shaped hair clips have become a familiar sight. At Barakhamba, the gajra seller waits at the divider for the next red light.
