Bahri Luxury Collection opens in Delhi's Khan Market

A gold-embossed volume on Salvador Dalí sits at Bahri Luxury Collection, a new bookstore in Khan Market with collectible classics, coffee-table books and vintage titles.

The collection includes books on art, design, photography, fashion and architecture, alongside limited editions designed for display as well as reading. Aashna Malhotra, a third-generation bookseller whose family started the collection, said the store was designed around larger-format books and natural light, with custom shelving for the volumes.

Malhotra said the store keeps some of its rarer titles off display for collectors and handles them with gloves. She said some bespoke editions are valued in lakhs.

Kapil Kapoor, co-founder of independent bookstore CMYK, said visually designed books continue to appeal to readers looking for time away from screens. For Delhi book clubs, he said, browsing editions that present a novel, artwork or design catalogue as a physical object is part of the draw.
