Two lanes in each direction and service roads will remain open between UAS Staff Quarters near Hebbal and Mehkri Circle, the BDA said.

The BDA will barricade one 4.5-metre lane on each side of Ballari Road for elevated corridor work. Goods vehicles will be diverted.

One 4.5-metre lane on each side of Ballari Road between UAS Staff Quarters near Hebbal and Mehkri Circle will be barricaded for the new elevated corridor, the Bangalore Development Authority said.

The 1.7-km corridor route has three lanes in each direction. BDA chairperson N A Haris said the remaining two lanes in each direction, along with service roads, would remain available. Public transport and private vehicles will not be barred from the route, while goods vehicles will be diverted.

Haris, BDA commissioner P Manivannan and traffic police officials inspected Mehkri Circle and nearby stretches after concerns about congestion and the condition of alternative roads. The BDA has asked the Greater Bengaluru Authority to speed up pending repairs on New BEL Road and RT Nagar Station Road, which commuters may use to bypass the construction stretch. Traffic police plan to deploy additional personnel around work sites and diversion routes.

The Rs 445.7-crore project is planned with about 49 pillars, an elevated rotary, and ramps towards Yeshwantpur via CV Raman Road and towards Jayamahal Road. The BDA has set an 18-month completion target.
