Bengaluru-Delhi flyer says passengers stood during taxiing

Vadiraj Katti said passengers began standing and taking luggage from overhead bins while his Bengaluru-to-Delhi flight was still taxiing.

In a LinkedIn post, Katti wrote that some travellers got up despite repeated requests from cabin crew to remain seated. He said passengers continued moving about the cabin while the aircraft was taxiing.

Katti also wrote that the crew later asked passengers to close their window shades to help maintain the cabin temperature for the next set of travellers. He said most passengers did not do so. The passenger seated beside him closed the shade after Katti asked, he wrote, but appeared irritated.

Commenters on the post wrote about similar experiences, including passengers unfastening seat belts or retrieving bags before an aircraft had come to a complete stop. Passengers are required to remain seated with their seat belts fastened during taxiing until cabin crew indicate that it is safe to get up.
