Bengaluru cyber crime inspector killed in Madhya Pradesh bus crash

Inspector Ravi KV of Bengaluru’s Cyber Crime unit was killed when a passenger bus travelling from Bengaluru to Indore crashed on the Bhopal bypass in Biaora, Madhya Pradesh.

Four people died and 11 passengers were reported injured after the bus lost control and collided with a bridge in Rajgarh district on Friday morning. Police said about four passengers were thrown from the bus and fell roughly 30 feet onto the service road below.

Ravi was travelling with a Bengaluru Cyber Crime team to Madhya Pradesh in connection with a search for an accused person. Sub-Inspector Ramesh Naik, Assistant Sub-Inspector Srinivas and technical staff member Vishwanath were also injured. Srinivas was referred to a hospital in Bhopal and was reported to be in critical condition.

The other people killed were identified as driver Vikas Shukla, Belal Ali and Jyotiraditya Singh God. Other injured passengers were taken to nearby hospitals, with some later referred for further treatment.
