Mannlich founder and CEO Pritam Kudev shared a job seeker’s sharply worded critique of his company website and his response to it.
A developer who said she was open to work told Kudev that Mannlich’s website felt “repelling and borderline disgusting”, while offering to help improve it. Kudev replied that the site was designed for a particular consumer base and was intended to repel others.
Pritam Kudev, founder and CEO of Bengaluru-based men’s personal-care brand Mannlich, has shared a LinkedIn exchange with a developer who approached him with a blunt review of the company website.
The job seeker said she liked the idea of skincare for men but found the site unwelcoming, criticised its presentation and said it appeared to lag. She added that she was open to work and could help simplify the site.
Kudev thanked her for the feedback but said Mannlich’s website had been made for a specific consumer base “and to repel others”. He wrote that he was glad it had worked.
In a post accompanying the screenshot, Kudev questioned the kind of outreach templates being taught to job seekers. He also invited portfolios from people seeking roles in marketing or content operations who were not put off by the website.
The exchange drew divided reactions online. Some objected to the tone of the job pitch, while others said the criticism of the website was fair.
