Greater Noida bioenergy expo enters final day at India Expo Centre
The three-day India Bio Energy and Tech Expo 2026 is open to visitors free of charge at India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida until 6pm on Thursday.
More than 150 exhibitors have joined the Greater Noida bioenergy expo, where sessions have covered compressed biogas, farm waste and rural employment.
More than 150 exhibitors have set up stalls at the India Bio Energy and Tech Expo 2026 at India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. Organisers said thousands of visitors have attended the three-day event.
The expo is open free of charge from 9am to 6pm on Thursday, its final day. The Indian Federation of Green Energy and the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency are organising it.
State energy minister A K Sharma, agriculture minister Surya Pratap Shahi and minister of state for energy Kailash Singh Rajput attended the second day. Sharma said Uttar Pradesh produces about 60 million tonnes of agricultural waste and about 15,000 tonnes of urban waste each day. He described compressed biogas as a potential source of additional farm income and village employment.
Delegates, researchers, entrepreneurs and subject experts have discussed bioenergy, compressed biogas, green energy and ways to turn agricultural waste into energy. Research journals and agricultural publications were also released at the event.
