Central Delhi traffic restrictions from 2pm for India-Afghanistan T20I

Commuters using roads around Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday should allow extra travel time from 2pm, when Delhi Traffic Police plans restrictions and diversions for the India-Afghanistan T20I.

Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, DDU Marg, JLN Marg and Mirdard Chowk may be affected until 11.45pm as spectators arrive and leave the stadium. Police have asked motorists to avoid the stadium area where possible and use alternate routes.

Goods vehicles will be restricted on designated stretches of Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, JLN Marg and DDU Marg during the traffic-management period.

The September 13 match is scheduled to open a three-game T20I series between India and Afghanistan. The other two fixtures are scheduled at Arun Jaitley Stadium on September 15 and 17.
