Slow trains between Matunga and Mulund will be diverted, while Harbour line services between Panvel and Vashi will be cancelled for much of the afternoon.

Central Railway will run maintenance blocks on Mumbai’s Main and Harbour lines from 11.05am Sunday. Western Railway has not scheduled a mega block.

Central Railway passengers travelling through Matunga, Mulund, Vashi and Panvel on Diwali Sunday should allow extra time for afternoon journeys.

On the Main line, Central Railway will block both slow lines between Matunga and Mulund from 11.05am to 3.55pm. Slow locals leaving CSMT will be diverted to the down fast line on this stretch, while up slow services leaving Thane will move to the up fast line from Mulund. Delays are likely during the diversion.

The Harbour line will be shut between Panvel and Vashi from 11.05am to 4.05pm. Up services from Panvel towards CSMT, and down services from CSMT towards Panvel and Belapur, will be cancelled during the block. On the Transharbour route, only Thane–Vashi and Nerul services in both directions will operate during those hours.

Western Railway has not scheduled a mega block on Sunday.
