Delhi University freshers list campus priorities before DUSU polls

For Sanya at Gargi College, finding a working water cooler between back-to-back classes should not be difficult. The first-year student said broken coolers, dirty water and empty dispensers push students towards bottled water on campus.

Reliable campus Wi-Fi is a main concern for Kishank Singh, a fresher at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College. He said connections drop frequently, forcing students to use mobile data during study sessions and assignment submissions.

At Sri Venkateswara College, Ronil Batra wants canteens or vending machines to stock discounted Diet Coke, particularly during exam season. Kirori Mal College fresher Gayatri Dave, meanwhile, wants college festivals to offer stronger artist line-ups rather than vague promises of a “big surprise”.

Delhi University students will elect their union representatives in the DUSU elections on September 18.
