Complaint filed after women joggers confront man at Agara Lake

Women out on their usual morning jog at Agara Lake near HSR Layout confronted a man after one of them noticed him allegedly recording them on his mobile phone.

Other regular joggers at the lake joined the confrontation and checked the phone, where they said they found videos of women. The man was identified as Golden Kumar, a resident of Sarjapura Road. He apologised after being confronted, the complaint states.

A complaint has been filed at HSR Layout police station. A senior police officer said the people who approached police asked that Kumar be warned and had deleted the videos from his phone during the confrontation. Police said they were not sure what had been recorded or whether the recordings were obscene.

The complaint has been treated as a petition because the woman and others did not seek an FIR. Police will summon Kumar and question him about the circumstances of the recordings before deciding on further action.
