Customer alleges live worm in sandwich at Gurugram’s PAUL outlet

Sulabh Mathur said he had eaten nearly half his sandwich before spotting what appeared to be a live white worm on the meat inside it at PAUL’s One Horizon Centre outlet on Golf Course Road.

Mathur, who said he visited the Gurugram restaurant for breakfast at around 11am, posted a video of the food on Instagram on Friday. He wrote that his group had ordered six or seven dishes when they found the worm. The video appears to show a white worm crawling over the meat between the bread.

In a follow-up post, Mathur shared a screenshot of a message he said was from the PAUL India team, which had contacted him to apologise. He described the response as a standard draft reply and said other users had shared accounts of poor experiences at PAUL outlets in the comments.

The allegation concerns food hygiene at a busy Golf Course Road dining address. PAUL India’s outreach to Mathur is the only response described so far.
