Delhi government school students asked to make civic-service reels

Students in Delhi government schools will begin making reels on kindness, cleanliness and community service from Thursday under the month-long Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan.

The Directorate of Education has asked heads of all government schools to ensure student participation. The campaign is intended to give students space to present ideas, creativity and aspirations around public service, development and nation building.

Under the theme “Seva Mera Yogdan — My Contribution to Society”, students can document acts of kindness, compassion and community service, or show how young people can contribute to nation building. Other prescribed subjects include public participation, environmental protection, civic responsibility, support for vulnerable sections, and respect for public property and national symbols.

The programme also refers to “Viksit Bharat @2047”. Drawing and speech competitions will run alongside the reel activity under the theme “25 Crore Children’s Dreams of India”.
