Delhi plans September launch for Barapullah Phase III, Okhla plant
Delhi plans to inaugurate road, water, sewerage, education and power projects from September 17 to October 2.
Delhi has listed Barapullah Phase III, a 564 MLD Okhla wastewater plant, school facilities and power substations for planned September launches.
Barapullah Phase III, the elevated road intended to connect Sarai Kale Khan and Mayur Vihar, is among the projects the Delhi government plans to inaugurate during Sewa Pakhwada from September 17 to October 2.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the programme will cover completed works across departments. The ₹1,635-crore road project has been delayed by more than seven years.
The list also includes an underpass near Mukarba Chowk on the Outer Ring Road and a ₹54.10-crore approach road linking Badli Junction with Haiderpur Metro station.
Water and sewerage works valued at ₹863.38 crore are planned for launch, including a 564 MLD wastewater treatment plant at Okhla, a 2 MGD recycling plant at Bawana, and sewer connections in parts of Gokalpur, Sriram Colony, Rajiv Nagar and Sonia Vihar.
The government has also listed a new school building in Sector 16, Dwarka; smart classrooms in East Vinod Nagar and Sector 41, Rohini; power projects worth ₹232.42 crore; and automated vehicle-testing stations at Burari and Tehkhand.
