Delhi-Ghaziabad DME Kanwar diversions put on hold

Planned traffic diversions on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway for the Kanwar Yatra have been put on hold, traffic officials said.

The measures were due to take effect on Friday to manage Dak Kanwar movement. Officials said the anticipated number of Dak Kanwars on the expressway had not materialised, prompting them to pause the restrictions.

Commuters travelling between Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut can continue to use the expressway without the planned Kanwar-specific rerouting for now.
