Delhi NCR sudoku meetups offer a screen break

At Delhi NCR sudoku meetups, 20 available slots can fill quickly, and phones tend to stay out of sight.

Logic Masters India, run by 31-year-old Anubhav Balodi, holds monthly café sessions with classic 9x9 grids and other sudoku variants. Players work through the puzzles together, with prizes for winners adding a competitive element.

In Noida, the Sudoku Club uses the grid as a singles-meetup format. Participants share their skill level before being paired for a game; the loser takes the winner out on the next date, says club member Tanya Shastri.

For Faridabad marketing professional Neha Sirohi, 34, sudoku began as a challenge from a friend and became a regular mental break. Delhi University master’s student Madhav Agarwal, 20, says the game helps him practise patience and hold multiple possibilities in mind, skills he connects to his computer science studies.

The rule is simple: each row, column and 3x3 box must contain the numbers one to nine without repeating a number.
