Delhi plans bus links from Anand Vihar and Kashmere Gate to Noida airport

Delhi residents may soon get direct public bus connections to Noida airport, also known as Jewar airport, from Anand Vihar and Kashmere Gate.

The Delhi government is planning to introduce several services on the two routes, according to The Times of India. The plan is linked to a reciprocal transport agreement that is expected to be signed between the Delhi and Uttar Pradesh governments, allowing the proposed interstate operation.

For passengers travelling from north and east Delhi, the routes could create a public-transport option for reaching the airport instead of relying entirely on private vehicles or cabs. Anand Vihar and Kashmere Gate are major intercity transport hubs, potentially making the service accessible through existing bus and Metro connections.

The airport started passenger flight operations nearly a month ago. However, details that will determine how useful the buses are for travellers — including fares, frequency, exact pick-up points, journey time, operating hours and a start date — have not been made public. Residents should wait for an official announcement before planning airport travel around the proposed service.
