Delhi schools set August tests for Classes 2-8 under NIPUN Sankalp

Delhi students in Classes 2 to 8 will sit OMR-based assessments in Hindi on August 27, English on August 29 and Mathematics on August 31 under the NIPUN Sankalp Programme.

The State Council of Educational Research and Training, Delhi, has asked schools run by the MCD, NDMC, Delhi Cantonment Board and Directorate of Education to register Classes 2 to 8 on the NIPUN Sankalp portal by August 25 and verify student records before the tests.

The exercise is intended to assess foundational literacy and numeracy. Schools may hold multiple shifts if needed, but must follow a one-desk, one-student arrangement. Teachers will complete OMR sheets for Classes 2 and 3. For Classes 4 to 8, teachers will fill student details and Part B, while students answer Part A.

Teachers must check each sheet before it is packed and submitted. Students who miss a scheduled test can take it by September 5; schools must document absences through the programme’s Absentee Module after that date.
