Delhi traffic alert: Metro, flyover and drainage work may slow these routes

Delhi Traffic Police has flagged possible peak-hour delays on key south and north Delhi routes as Metro, flyover and drainage work continues.

On MB Road, commuters may face slower movement between Saket G-Block and Pul Prahladpur because of DMRC work, and between Lado Sarai and Pul Prahladpur due to PWD drainage and pre-cast RCC box-drain work. Traffic may also slow on the Khanpur–Vayusenabad stretch near Batra Hospital.

The advisory also covers the Outer Ring Road between Modi Mill and Savitri Cinema, where flyover construction is under way, and the BRT Corridor from Sadiq Nagar to Sheikh Sarai, where DMRC work is in progress. In Rohini, drainage work may affect the Anand Pur Dham–Karala to Brahmshakti Hospital route.

Police have asked commuters to plan ahead, keep intersections and U-turns clear, and avoid wrong-side driving, footpaths and unnecessary lane changes to get past queues. Those who can should use the Metro or public transport and avoid these stretches during peak hours.
