Delhi National Lok Adalat on October 10; challan slips from October 5

Delhi’s National Lok Adalat will now sit on October 10, replacing the September 12 date after the Delhi High Court declared that Saturday a court sitting day.

The Delhi State Legal Services Authority said the session will be held at district court complexes in Tis Hazari, Karkardooma, Patiala House, Rohini, Saket, Dwarka and Rouse Avenue, as well as the Delhi High Court, Debt Recovery Tribunals, Permanent Lok Adalats and consumer dispute redressal commissions. It is meant to facilitate settlements in civil matters and criminal cases that can legally be compounded.

People seeking to list a pending matter have been advised to approach the relevant court, forum or tribunal early. For pre-litigation matters, applications must reach the member secretary’s office at least seven days before the Lok Adalat.

Drivers with compoundable traffic challans pending on the virtual court portal up to June 30, 2026, can download challan slips from the Delhi Traffic Police website from 10am on October 5. Downloads will be capped at 50,000 challans a day and two lakh overall.
