Gurgaon delivery rider dies after crash near Cyber Hub

Janak Singh, 45, died after an unidentified vehicle hit his motorcycle near Cyber Hub on Friday afternoon, police said.

Singh, a delivery rider, was travelling from Shankar Chowk towards IFFCO Chowk when the collision took place between 12.30pm and 1.30pm, police said. His son, Pushpendra, received a call around 2pm from the Sector 10 government hospital, where Singh had been admitted with injuries. He died during treatment.

Singh lived in Kapashera, Delhi, and worked as a delivery rider in Gurgaon. DLF Phase 2 police registered an FIR on Saturday under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita provisions related to rash driving and death by negligence, following a complaint by Pushpendra and the hospital's medico-legal report.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the crash site and nearby areas to identify the vehicle and its driver. The post-mortem has been completed, and Singh's body was handed over to his family for last rites.
