Dilli Haat hosts Teej Mahotsav ahead of Hariyali Teej

Dhol beats, swing rides and mehendi stalls drew visitors to Dilli Haat over the weekend for a two-day Teej Mahotsav ahead of Hariyali Teej on August 15.

Organised by the Delhi Tourism Department, the mela featured visitors dancing to dhol music and browsing stalls selling lac bangles. Attendees in ethnic outfits gathered for henna designs, while others explored the festival activities with friends.

Smiley Sharma Das, a Delhi-based entrepreneur, tried bangles at the fair. Dibyaajyoti Parida, a Delhi University student from Odisha attending a Teej mela for the first time, spent time on a swing with friends.

Mehendi artist Namra from Daryaganj applied designs for visitors, many of whom asked her to choose the pattern. One visitor, Sanaa, said she got her mehendi done at the mela before festival-day market queues build up.
