Gurgaon: DLF Phase 3 guesthouse sealed after parking-area rooms demolished

DTCP officials sealed a guesthouse on Moulsari Avenue Road in DLF Phase 3 on Monday after around 30 guests vacated the premises, officials said.

The enforcement team demolished four rooms built in the stilt parking area. Officials said they also found six additional rooms in the basement, two on the terrace, and eight rooms on each floor, although the sanctioned plan permitted six rooms per floor. They said construction in parking areas can force vehicles onto roads and add to congestion.

In V Block and along Moulsari Avenue Road, the team removed structures linked to a restaurant, juice shop and property dealer’s office operating from a residential plot, officials said. It also demolished three guard rooms on road land outside houses.

At about 10 buildings, owners produced Punjab and Haryana High Court stay orders, and DTCP did not take demolition action at those sites. The next hearing is scheduled for August 24, when the DTCP enforcement wing is expected to file its response.
