Delhi: DND Flyway-Jaitpur expressway link opens for trial

Drivers entering from the DND Flyway can now reach Jaitpur on a newly opened nine-kilometre trial section linked to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

The link offers an alternative for traffic moving between Ashram, Kalindi Kunj and Faridabad. With the Jaitpur-Kundli-Manesar-Palwal interchange already open, motorists from east and south Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad can join the expressway for onward travel towards Jaipur and Sawai Madhopur. Nearly 8.5 km of the DND-Jaitpur section is elevated.

NHAI has opened 50 km of the 59-km Delhi link to the expressway in phases. The corridor was originally planned to begin at Sohna before its alignment was extended to the DND Flyway in 2018.

No toll is being collected during the trial period. NHAI will use the period after construction and safety audits to identify work requiring rectification before formally commissioning the road. Officials expect the expressway to be operational up to Vadodara by December. A direct expressway link to Noida International Airport is also under construction.
