DTCP issues 1,319 notices in Gurgaon’s licensed colonies

South City has received 538 show-cause notices as the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) acts on alleged unauthorised construction and land-use violations in Gurgaon’s licensed colonies.

DTCP issued 1,319 notices in South City, Sushant Lok, Ardee City, Greenwood City, Vatika, The Westerlies and Vipul World. The notices concern alleged unauthorised construction and commercial use of residential properties.

Sushant Lok received 283 notices for commercial and residential violations, while Sushant Lok-I received 100 notices specifically for alleged commercial violations. Vipul World received 145 notices, Greenwood City 99, Ardee City 86, Vatika 44 and The Westerlies 24.

Officials said the cases include structures in stilt parking areas and setbacks, encroachments on roads, and commercial activity from residential premises. Property owners have been asked to restore their premises to sanctioned plans and permitted use.

DTCP also issued 662 restoration orders: 250 in Sushant Lok-I, 248 in DLF-3, 126 in DLF-4 and 38 in DLF-2. Town planner (enforcement) Amit Madholia said properties where violations are not removed may face sealing or demolition under the rules. The department plans physical verification of compliance.
