DTCP issues 529 notices in five Gurgaon licensed colonies

DTCP has issued 529 notices to properties in five licensed Gurgaon colonies over alleged building-plan, parking and zoning violations. Sushant Lok-1 received the highest number of notices.

The department issued 235 notices in Sushant Lok-1, followed by 148 in Vipul World, 71 in Ardee City, 46 in South City-1 and 29 in Greenwood City. Inspectors flagged alleged construction beyond permitted limits, changes to servant-room areas, deviations from approved plans and alterations to designated parking spaces.

DTCP enforcement teams are mapping suspected violations against the approved layout plans for each colony. The department is also examining residential properties that it says may be used for commercial activity. It has issued 195 notices in such cases, including 180 served earlier during the survey exercise.

District Town Planner (Enforcement) Amit Madholia said the department would take action under applicable rules where violations are found. Owners who do not rectify violations or provide satisfactory explanations could face sealing of premises or removal of unauthorised construction.
