Delhi University opens PhD registration for four-year UG graduates

Delhi University has opened PhD registrations for 2026-27 for students who completed four-year undergraduate programmes under the National Education Policy. Applications close on September 6.

Eligible graduates from DU and its colleges can apply through the university’s PhD admission portal. Applicants in the unreserved, OBC and EWS categories need a minimum CGPA of 7.5, while the threshold for SC, ST and PwBD candidates is 7.0.

Candidates must also appear for an admission test conducted by the relevant department or the university. The application fee is Rs 250 per programme for UR, OBC-NCL and EWS applicants, and Rs 100 per programme for SC, ST and PwBD applicants. The fee is non-refundable.

DU has advised applicants to take the UGC-NET or CSIR examinations for fellowship benefits and to check its admissions website for schedules and policy updates.
