Greater Noida: Dujana proposed as model solar village

Dujana village in Greater Noida’s Bisrakh block has been proposed for development as a model solar village, with solar-powered facilities including a milk chiller, flour mill and cold-press unit.

The Gautam Buddha Nagar district administration has proposed the project under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. The plan includes rooftop solar systems for homes and public buildings, along with solar streetlights on village roads and at public places.

Lavlesh Kumar Sisodia, project officer at the UP New and Renewable Energy Development Agency in Gautam Buddha Nagar, said the livelihood-linked facilities are intended to support rural activity. Officials expect the project to reduce dependence on conventional electricity and create income and employment opportunities.

A detailed project report has been submitted to the district administration. District magistrate Medha Roopam has asked the concerned departments to complete the required technical and administrative procedures with coordination and within set timelines.
