Bengaluru traffic diversions for Eid Milad processions on August 26
Motorists travelling towards Majestic and K.R. Market from Mysuru Road should expect diversions as Eid Milad processions move through Bengaluru on August 26.
Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced Eid Milad traffic diversions around City Market, S.J.P. Road and central and north Bengaluru corridors on August 26.
An Eid Milad gathering at YMCA Ground on Nrupatunga Road will run from noon to 11 pm on Wednesday, August 26, with traffic diversions planned across Bengaluru during the procession.
Bengaluru Traffic Police said congestion is likely on J.C. Road, R.R.M.R. Road, Kasturba Road, K.G. Road, Mallya Hospital Road, R.T. Nagar Main Road, Dinnur Main Road, Jayamahal Road, Nagawara Main Road, Tannery Main Road, and Haines Road–Miller’s Road.
Vehicles travelling from Mysuru Road towards Majestic will be routed via Nayandahalli Junction, Nagarabhavi Circle, Chandra Layout, R.P.C. Layout, West of Chord Road, Vijayanagar Metro Station and Okalipuram Junction.
Those heading to K.R. Market will be diverted through Nagarabhavi, Chandra Layout, Vijayanagar, Goodshed Road and Shanthala Circle.
As the procession reaches Market Circle, traffic at A.S. Char Street Junction will be directed towards B.V.K. Iyengar Road. Vehicles approaching Market Circle from K.R. Road will be routed via Prof. Shivashankarappa Circle, L.B.F. Road, J.C. Road and Town Hall.
Police have asked motorists to plan their journeys and use the designated alternative routes.
