From a 27-dish banana-leaf meal in Indiranagar to a 30-dish spread in Yelahanka, Bengaluru’s Onam tables are set across the city this month.

Kalpaney, Anju’s Cafe, Salt Mango Tree, Kappa Chakka Kandhari and Aakraantham at Daak 64 have announced Onam sadya services between August 22 and 30. The menus include Kerala staples such as avial, kaalan, olan, thoran, payasam and red rice, with prices where listed ranging from ₹979 plus taxes to ₹1,980.

A banana-leaf Onam sadya will be served at five Bengaluru restaurants and kitchens between August 22 and 30, with sittings spread across Indiranagar, JP Nagar, Koramangala and Yelahanka.

Kalpaney’s Indiranagar and JP Nagar branches will serve a 27-dish vegetarian meal on August 26 for lunch and dinner, priced at ₹979 plus taxes. Its menu includes mezhukkupuratti, cabbage thoran, kaalan, olan, avial, koottu curry and erissery, followed by palada payasam and parippu pradhaman.

At Ranga Shankara in JP Nagar, Anju’s Cafe will host two sittings on August 30, at noon and 1.30pm, for ₹1,500. Owner Anju Sudharshan said the sadya began two decades ago as a meal for family and friends before opening to diners.

Salt Mango Tree in Indiranagar will serve its spread, including avial, thoran, chips, payasams and red rice, from August 22 to 30. Kappa Chakka Kandhari in Koramangala’s 6th Block has sittings on August 25 and 26 for ₹1,980, with ada pradhaman and palada payasam also available for takeaway.

In Yelahanka, Chef Sinu Swaminathan’s Aakraantham kitchen joins Daak 64 on August 26 for a 30-dish meal featuring ripe mango curry, banana flower thoran and banana stem pachadi, priced at ₹1,575.
