Delhi NCR events on August 16: qawwali, sketch walk and comedy

Ujwal Nagar will perform qawwali at Siyah Arthouse in Saidulajab on Sunday, August 16, at 6pm. The venue is on Westend Marg, near Saket Metro station, and tickets are available through Skillboxes.

Anannya Chatterjee will present *Udbhava: A Transformation*, a Bharatanatyam recital, at Triveni Auditorium in Mandi House at 6.30pm. Entry is free. Triveni Kala Sangam is also hosting *Fire and Form: Ceramic Stoneware*, an exhibition of Keshari Nandan’s work curated by Uma Nair, until August 18.

A walk, books and old maps

Central Park in Connaught Place will host Sketchy Krew’s free sketch walk from 2pm to 5pm. Rajiv Chowk is the nearest Metro station.

On Lodhi Road, CMYK Bookstore’s *Delhi Unbound: Stories of a City in Books, Prints and Maps* continues through September 13. The exhibition includes antiquarian books, original prints by Thomas and William Daniell, and photographic prints by William Dalrymple. It is open from 11am to 8pm, with free entry.

The Piano Man in Malviya Nagar has two slots—4.30pm and 7pm—for *The Jazz Room: A Journey to the Heart of New Orleans*. The Stein Auditorium at India Habitat Centre will screen Marianne Elliott’s *Les Liaisons Dangereuses* at 7pm.

Gurugram comedy and more

Gurleen Pannu will perform *Monster* at The Laugh Store in CyberHub at 8.30pm. Cyber City on the Rapid Metro is the closest station.

In Delhi, Nayab Midha will perform *Rajkumari* at Talkatora Indoor Stadium at 6pm. A candle-painting workshop at Chaayos in Connaught Place begins at 3pm.

At DLF Avenue in Saket, Ormas’s Odisha handloom and handicrafts pop-up is open daily from 11am to 10pm until September 10, with free entry.
