FSSAI suspends Delhi-based Marche Retail’s food licence for 30 days

Marche Retail Pvt Ltd must stop its food business activities for 30 days after the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India suspended its licence over food-safety non-compliances.

FSSAI said an inspection and subsequent scrutiny of the Delhi-based company’s premises identified deficiencies in design, operational controls, sanitation, personal hygiene, food-handler training and mandatory record-keeping.

The regulator directed the company to cease food business activities until it rectifies the identified shortcomings. FSSAI said Marche Retail must address the listed deficiencies before it can resume operations.
