Gurgaon: GMDA invites bids for ₹19.3 crore Dwarka Expressway road works

GMDA has invited bids for two road projects worth about ₹19.3 crore near Dwarka Expressway in Gurgaon’s newer sectors.

The first project, estimated at about ₹9.6 crore, covers an 820-metre link between Dwarka Expressway and Chauma Road through sectors 110A and 111. GMDA plans to strengthen the main carriageway, upgrade the existing service road and install a central verge, crash barriers and surface drains.

Vikas Rana, a Diplomatic Puri resident, said residents had occasionally paid to fill potholes on the heavily used road, which also carries dumpers and trolleys. GMDA expects the work to take nine months after it begins.

A second project, estimated at about ₹9.7 crore, proposes a 1.8km service road along the master road in sectors 106 and 109. The plans include RCC-pipe drainage connections, streetlights, footpaths, signage, road furniture and lane markings. GMDA expects this work to take a year.

Construction on both projects is to begin after GMDA selects agencies through the bidding process.
