GMDA seeks approval for ₹72 crore in road works, including the Iffco Chowk–SPR stretch and a link from Sectors 68-69 to Gurugram-Sohna Road.
The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority plans to place two road projects estimated at ₹72 crore before a state-level works committee in Chandigarh chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
The larger proposal, estimated at ₹47 crore, would reconstruct the Iffco Chowk–Southern Peripheral Road stretch. It includes stormwater drainage, footpaths, cycle tracks and central-verge beautification. GMDA invited tenders for the work about three months ago.
A second project, estimated at around ₹25 crore, proposes a nearly 900-metre road connecting Sectors 68 and 69 with Gurugram-Sohna Road. The link would provide access to the arterial road for residents of Sectors 68, 69, 70, 70A, 75 and 76.
GMDA officials said contract negotiations and tender awards would begin after the committee grants approval.
