Mumbai: S. J. Poddar Academy Grade 6 students curate Zoographia

Grade 6 Division A at Mumbai’s S. J. Poddar Academy has created “Zoographia – Taso se Tasveer Tak”, an exhibition tracing the animal world through art, culture and history.

The students researched the subject, chose the exhibition’s theme and message, designed objects for display, and assembled the show for visitors. They also presented the exhibition and explained the ideas behind their work.

“Zoographia” is the first exhibition under the school’s Think Museum Project, run with the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya and Citi through the Museum on Wheels initiative. The programme brings museum-based learning into school settings.

As the project continues, each Grade 6 division is expected to choose a subject and create its own museum exhibition.
